Jerry was an avid lover of comics and cartoons. His humor and wit is evident throughout his artwork. In this piece, he depicts a continuation of the saga of the tortoise and the hare. A metaphor for being humble and not boasting about one's deeds.

Part of this edition is numbered and embossed by DB Artworks, a publishing company, half of which was owned by Jerry Garcia. 
The other part is embossed by The Art Peddler, who was Jerry Garcia's last publisher.
